| This option no longer works. I also see it has been renamed to "Regular expression" I've tried turning that off and on and that didn't work either.

| in ZRC ? if so, its recent Kilgore changes. but Regular expressions is very powerful feature. look at zrc help file - there is detailed description of it. for example: ..Another set of special characters are "<" and ">". These facilitate the matching of entire words, ignoring any matching substrings embedded in other strings. For example, the pattern "<abc>" will match the string "abc" by itself, but not the string "abcd"
