| IDE I've been using for several years and I still believe this is the best doom browser in the world.
But I always thought the interface was rustic and very functional, that´s why I started thinking about a design that helps improve the usability...
Here is small sketch...

| currently there are no possibilities to change considerably ide looks
may be in the future..
do not forget that ide is just game launcher - its not Operating System or Shell to everything

| Hello, I've been using IDE and DE for many years now and really like them, but I have a suggestion for an option to overlay IRC chat on the
multiplayer tab. I often find myself switching between the two back and forth all the
time as i refresh servers or read chat, it would be extremely convenient
for an option to have them both on the same screen. I have provided a
mock up to show what I mean:

I think this could be a cool feature for DE / IDE in the future. I know
it probably isn't easy, but just thought I'd suggest it since it might make the launcher more convenient for some users. Thanks for

| I thought this would be a good idea as it always made keeping track of chat and active games at the same time easy for me on Doom Connector back in the old days. It even seems Dwango used the similar "games at the top, chat at the bottom" layout. I'll be happy if you implement this option, thanks for replying

I also have another suggestion for IRC - adding a few more default channels. Currently it connects to: irc.zandronum.com #zandronum, irc.oftc.net #odamex and irc.zdaemon.orc #zdplayers. It would be nice to add irc.quakenet.org #odamex as a default as well, as this channel has more activity than the OFTC one and there are several doom channels on quakenet

| Well, info about 'default' irc servers/channels is provided by ports developers. All these channels contain information about the current state of the port and the necessary links to resources.
I can do another thing - provide users with the list of popular IRC servers/channels in 'New IRC connection' window, so they can select one of predefined or enter their own.
Could you make such a list, not only for Odamex but all ports, or may be all doom-related ?
